At Celerity, every child is expected to demonstrate mastery of learning. Teachers meet twice a week after school hours for professional development in weekly staff meetings and to meet as grade-level teams. Through the site-based decision making teams, parents work alongside school staff to set policy, raise funds, administer programs, and organize events. Parents are trained on using technology to support their child’s academic success, understanding their child’s assessment data, and advancing their parenting skills.
Extended Learning Time
All students are provided a structured system of extra help and extra time to enable students who may lack adequate preparation to complete an accelerated program of study that includes high-level academic content.
Students and teachers have adequate access to technology so that it can be used effectively in student learning, classroom instruction, data management and communication. The school integrates technology assessment and electronic student portfolios that provide immediate access to student progress data for teachers, students and their parents.
Celerity uses a variety of strategies for student assessment and program evaluation in order to continuously improve the school climate, organization, management, curricula, learning, and instruction.
